Brittany Johnson is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a doctorate in nursing practice (DNP). She graduated with her BSN in 2013 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She gained her experience as a RN in a variety of settings including mental health. She later earned her DNP as an adult gerontology nurse practitioner (AGACNP) in 2019. As an AGACNP, she worked as a nocturnist in hospital medicine for one year when she realized her passion for mental health. She became dual certified obtaining her post master’s certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2022 from Herzing University. She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to all ages. Guided by evidenced-based treatment, provides client-centered care while maintaining strict client confidentiality.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center. I am passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services. I possess strong clinical skills enhanced by natural ability to build rapport with clients. I follow evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition. I have provided care in a variety of settings; Intensive Outpatient Programs, Acute Inpatient Psychiatric facilities, Long-term Inpatient Senior Community facilities, Partial Hospitalization, Minimum-security correctional facilities, and Long-term civil/forensic Inpatient facilities in the private and public sectors.

I am New York transplant who received his Masters degree as a Nurse Practitioner from South University in Savannah Georgia and then went on to pursue a Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Chamberlain University. I am nationally board certified in Psychiatric/Mental/Behavioral medicine, Family Medicine, and Emergency medicine. I have been treating patients for a diverse range of diagnoses that include, but not limited to depression, bipolar, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, post-traumatic stress disorder, insomnia, addiction, trauma, and numerous other co-current medical disorders. Mental health is the foundation for physical health. Working as a team with the other medical providers, I want to help patients build that strong foundation. My goal with patients is to assure that they experience the greatest quality of life while receiving medical and mental health treatment. Michael D. Santone, DNP, APRN-BC is a nationally certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He is fully licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and fully credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Mike earned his Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Chatham University, Pittsburgh, PA., in 2010.
D. Santone has over 25 years experience in behavioral health and chemical dependency. He works with the adult population 18-70 years old and treats all Mood and Thought Disorders. His experience involves private practice, inpatient and outpatient hospitalization, and correctional facilities. Mike is an advocate for the LGBTQ population.

I plan to go back to school and earn my Master’s of Counseling in the future. I have always had a passion for helping people, and I am so excited to do so as part of the Always Hope team!

My long-term goal is to become a talented Veterinarian, saving the lives of any and all animals that are in need of help. I have 4+ years of experience in customer service and am excited to use those skills, as well as my passion for helping others, to thrive at Always Hope along with the wonderful staff.
